With the elderstateman of Kwara State politics and father of the incumbent governor, Dr. Olusola Saraki, declearing with all boldness that he will declare the identity of the person who is to take over from his son in 2011 in december, can we say, in all sincerity, that we have democracy? I see the elderstateman's declaration to mean that "with or without the electorate, his candidate will emerge the governor of kwara come 2011".  Why, then, do we need to stand under the sun and in the rain trying to carry out our voting responsibilities? No wonder Obama abandoned "the giants of africa" and chose to visit Ghana.  MAY GOD HELP US!  GOD BLESS NIGERIA!!!

Senator. Kwara na special oh. I even thought u were referring to some other state. Saraki is father of Kwarans. It has been that way for years, and his children will prolly continue to father Kwarans for ever. So jus look another way oh. eeeeee Shocked

senetor i tell you ,this is not an ideal democracy as it is practise else where, here there is little or no public opinion, a  decision  of a single man supercede that of hundred peoples. The problem is simple, we have turn our politics to that of bread and butter. with the have and the have not, where the have dictate for the have not. do you  need to blame shamless sariki? who did not know he is on his way to grave, tell him , the best leader is one crown by God and not by man. if he is taking the position of God , then he should be ready to pay dearly for it.

The principle of democracy is not be followed in Nigeria, what we we have is godfatherism and cash and carry syndrome, selection but not election, that is why corruption is high in Nigeria,we need Electoral reform with transperancy for good people to come and seek for office.I will continue to pray and educate people for God to intervene in our situation.

We have democracy in some states that wants it ,i mean the states  that were able fight for it. PDP is a good party on it own but the people nominating are choosing the wrong people all because of what they will gain. As for kwara state only God cn deliver them from the SARAKIS.
